1. What DUNE is — and isn’t
DUNE is a platform for booking someone’s time for a specific activity — a wedding, a party, a concert, a gallery, a trek, a gym session, exploring a new city, conversation over coffee — and for hosting or joining group events.
Every booking names the activity it’s for. That’s the point of the product, and it’s what both people are agreeing to.
DUNE is a product of Vauxer Enterprises Private Limited. Vauxer operates the service, publishes the app, arranges for payments to be collected and disbursed through a third-party payment partner, and is responsible for your data — it is the company you deal with for everything.
Vauxer enforces this Code, and decides suspensions, bans and appeals.
DUNE is not a dating app, and it is not a platform for sexual services. Every rule below exists to keep that true in practice, not just in our marketing copy.
By creating an account, you agree to follow this Code, in addition to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
2. Who can use DUNE
- You must be 18 or older.
- You must be a real person, verified through our identity check, using your own identity — not a persona, not someone else’s photos, not a bot.
- One person, one account. Accounts may not be sold, transferred, or shared, or used by anyone to earn money by trading access — an account found being sold, shared, or traded may be banned immediately, without warning.
- Don’t use a rooted, jailbroken, or otherwise tampered or suspicious device to access DUNE. Where we find one associated with an account, we reserve the right to suspend or delete that account immediately, without prior warning, given the fraud and security risk it poses.
- You may use DUNE to find companionship (Find) and/or offer it (Become) — you cannot use it to recruit, advertise, or solicit for anything outside what’s described in this Code. If you offer companionship, the Companion Agreement applies to you as well.
3. The core rules
3.1 No sexual solicitation, of any kind
This is the rule everything else on this platform is built to protect.
Not permitted, anywhere on DUNE — profile, bio, photos, chat, event listings, or in person during a booking:
- Offering, requesting, or negotiating sexual activity or sexual services in exchange for money, gifts, or anything of value.
- Sexually explicit photos, text, or descriptions of sexual availability.
- Language that implies sexual services are available (“full service”, “GFE”, and similar coded terms), even without an explicit statement.
- Using DUNE bookings as a pretext to arrange something else.
Companionship on DUNE is platonic. If a conversation or a meetup turns sexual, that is a violation by whoever initiated it, and we want to know about it — see section 6.
3.2 Respect and safety
- No harassment, threats, hate speech, or discrimination based on caste, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any protected characteristic.
- No stalking, or contacting someone off-platform after they’ve asked you to stop.
- No sharing another person’s private information (address, workplace, identity documents, screenshots of their DUNE profile or chats) without consent.
- No violence, or threats of violence, in any conversation or meetup.
- Listen when someone says no — to a booking, to a request, to anything during a meetup. Pressuring someone after a “no” is a violation on its own.
3.3 Honesty
- Your profile photos must be recent and genuinely you. No stock photos, no photos of someone else, no photos more than 2 years old.
- Your age, and anything else you state on your profile, must be accurate.
- Don’t impersonate another person, a public figure, or DUNE staff.
- Don’t create fake reviews, fake bookings, or fake reports about another user.
3.4 No circumventing the platform
- Don’t ask another user to move payment, communication, or the booking itself off DUNE before a booking is confirmed and paid for through the app.
- Don’t offer or accept a discount for booking “outside the app.”
- Phone numbers and other contact details may be exchanged once chat unlocks after payment — that’s built into the product. Trying to get there earlier, to avoid DUNE’s fees or safety checks, is not.
3.4a Honour the bookings you accept
Accepting a booking is a commitment. The other person has paid, cleared their evening and planned around you.
- Only accept a booking you intend to keep. If you’re unsure about the time, the activity or the place, decline — declining costs nobody anything.
- Cancelling after payment is the thing to avoid. The other person loses DUNE’s Platform Fee on what they paid through no fault of their own, and gets their evening back too late to use it — see the Refunds & Cancellation Policy.
- Things genuinely go wrong. One cancellation is not a violation. What we act on is a pattern.
We count every cancellation made after a booking has been paid for. Where the pattern suggests someone is accepting bookings they don’t intend to keep, we review the account. Reports from the people affected are taken into account, but we do not wait for a report to look — the record is enough.
Depending on what the review finds, we may take no action, issue a warning, suspend the account for between 3 and 30 days, or ban it permanently.
3.5 Payments
- Pay only through DUNE’s in-app payment flow. Never send money directly to another user, and never accept a request to be paid outside the app.
- Don’t attempt to reverse a legitimate payment (chargeback fraud) after receiving the service.
- Keep your payout details accurate, and provide only your own bank account and IFSC details — not someone else’s. If you provide payout details that aren’t genuinely yours, we won’t entertain any dispute or complaint about that payout, and don’t use DUNE to launder payments unrelated to a real booking.
3.6 During a meetup
- Do the activity you booked. The booking names it, and that’s what both of you agreed to. Don’t pressure the other person into something different once you’ve met — a different activity, a different place, or a different kind of time altogether. If you both genuinely want to change plans, that’s fine; if one of you is pushing and the other is going along, it isn’t.
- Meet only in the meeting area agreed in the app. If your meetup location changes, update it in the app first.
- The start PIN and close PIN exist so both people confirm they showed up and confirm when the session ends — share yours only with the person you’re actually meeting, in person.
- Live location sharing during a booking is a safety feature, not surveillance — don’t ask the other person to turn it off.
- If something feels wrong, leave. You can end a booking early, and you can report it afterward — you will not be penalised for prioritising your safety.
3.7 Events
If you host an event on DUNE:
- Describe it accurately — venue, timing, what’s included, and any age or dress requirements.
- Don’t oversell seats beyond what the venue and your listing allow.
- Honour the event as listed, or cancel and refund attendees with reasonable notice.
- Check attendees in when they arrive, in person, using the PIN they show you. Never ask anyone to send you their PIN in advance, for any reason. Collecting PINs ahead of an event records attendance that didn’t happen and claims payment for it — we treat it as fraud, not as a shortcut.
- Don’t refuse entry to someone who paid unless there is a genuine safety reason, and report it the same day if you do.
If you attend an event:
- Behave as you would at any listing you paid to attend. The rules in sections 3.1–3.2 apply at events exactly as they do to one-on-one bookings.
- Don’t share your check-in PIN before you’re physically at the event, and don’t give it to anyone other than the host. Your PIN is how we know you attended.
- Give the host your PIN when they ask for it at the event. Withholding it and then reporting that you weren’t checked in is dishonest, and it’s treated as such.
- Don’t report a denied check-in that didn’t happen. An upheld report refunds you in full and strikes the host, so a false one takes money and standing from someone who did nothing wrong. Repeated unfounded reports lead to removal.
3.8 Reviews
- Review honestly, based on your own experience.
- Don’t leave a review to retaliate for a rejected booking, a cancellation, or a report someone filed against you.
- Don’t ask anyone to leave you a review they didn’t earn.
4. Zero-tolerance violations
Some things get you removed immediately, on a first offence, without a warning:
- Sexual solicitation involving payment (an escort or sexual-services offer)
- Content involving a minor, in any form
- Threats of violence or serious harm
- Sharing another user’s private information without consent
- Non-consensual sexual content or imagery
- Fraud: fake identity, payment fraud, chargeback abuse
We report unlawful content — especially anything involving a minor — to the relevant authorities, in addition to removing it.
5. Enforcement
Violating this Code can result in, depending on severity and history:
| Action | When |
|---|
| Content removal | A single photo, bio line, or message violates a rule |
| Warning | First minor violation |
| Feature restriction | Repeated minor violations (e.g. booking paused pending review) |
| Temporary suspension | Serious or repeated violation |
| Permanent ban | Zero-tolerance violation, or repeated serious violations |
| Withheld payout | A booking is found fraudulent or in violation after payment |
| Report to authorities | Unlawful conduct, especially involving a minor or violence |
We review reports, apply this Code, and — outside the zero-tolerance list — try to warn before we ban. Being reported is not itself a violation; we look at what happened before acting.
If your account is suspended or banned, you can appeal at support@dunexplore.com, or through in-app support. We will explain what rule you’re alleged to have broken and give you a chance to respond, except where doing so would compromise a safety investigation.
6. Reporting a problem
In the app: every profile, chat, and booking has a Report option. Tell us what happened — the more detail, the faster we can act.
Block: you can block anyone at any time. A block ends any open conversation immediately and prevents future bookings between you.
Urgent safety concern: if you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first (112 in India). Then tell us at support@dunexplore.com or through in-app support so we can act on your account and theirs.
Reporting someone else’s account (not your own experience): support@dunexplore.com
We do not tell the person you reported who reported them.
7. A note on judgment
This Code can’t list every situation. Where something isn’t explicitly covered, we ask: does this match the spirit of a platform for genuine, platonic companionship, conducted safely and honestly? If the honest answer is no, it’s a violation, whether or not it’s written above.
The same standard is spelled out in day-to-day terms in our Community Guidelines.
8. Changes to this Code
We may update this Code as the platform grows. We’ll notify you in the app before a significant change takes effect. Continuing to use DUNE after a change means you accept the updated Code.
